About Chiranji Lal Yadav (Padma Shri)
Chiranji Lal Yadav took up brass work at twenty-one and has spent more than fifty-five years on kalam fine carving and marodi engraving, training a generation of artisans in naqqashi. A Shilp Guru awardee, he received the Padma Shri in 2026 — the third Moradabad artisan to be so honoured, after Dilshad Hussain and Babu Ram Yadav.
